These are my favourite images from New York, I went on a trip with my college in February for my first visit to the state. Hopefully you can forgive my ignorance, as I don't know the names/locations of some of the buildings. These images have all been editted in photoshop, around 90% of them have simply had the shadows and highlights changed to bring out more detail or colour - the other pictures have had the same and also some amount of colour correction. All taken with a Canon 350D, using no filters.

Beautiful sunset, helicopter and all. It was so windy when we went up the Empire State Building that we didn't stay for the sunset. Saw the full moon rise from the revolving bar at the Marriott, though. Great shots.
nice photo james ... how did ya do it?

I was lucky enough on the night we arrived for there to be some railings stood in the middle of times square, so I balanced the camera on those for a 2 second exposure.
I like this shot, love the glassy building.
Simply beautiful, Jim. I need to snag a nice camera for myself. These little yellow cardboard ones just can't keep up.
Yeah they're really bright, colourful shots, what camera are you using? I'm on the look out for one at the moment...
moominply wrote on Apr 25, '06, edited on Apr 25, '06 Wow, that's awesome. The colours are simply fabulous! I do so want one of those Canon dSLRs.
Practically a "caption me" in itself. Does anyone know what this actually stands for? All I can come up with is 'Danger of melting' and 'Warning: Man-eating Snakes'
Frequent slip and fall accidents?
