As much as the growing number of camera phones must annoy professional photographers (and technophobes alike), I think they are far from pure evil.
Of course, the convenience of having a camera immediately at hand will give rise to a larger number of 'snaps' being taken - but it also gives people the freedom to act out and document spontaneous bouts of creativity - which would otherwise remain as only a memory to the select few people present at the time. Pictures don't need to have a huge resolution to be admired, generally people don't judge an image by its size - but by its content (I owe the place on my photography course to the camera phone I own, since it was with those images - and only those - that I made my way in. As the images were all less than 1 megapixel in size, the tutors must have seen something in them other than camera quality).
So this is my homage to the camera phone, just a handful of images to show they can be used for more than family holiday snapshots.
